Here are a few suggestions of pies that seem particularly appropriate for each month of the year. But feel free to make them any time you please!

January

It's cold here in Concord, Massachusetts, often snowy, and post-holiday blahs have set in. What's called for is a festive pie. I like meringue-topped pies in the winter.

February

Still cold, but there's hope. We need a Cheery Cherry Pie in honor of George Washington, and we'll continue with the citrus theme.

March

Spring is in the air, but not yet here. I'd continue with some comforting creamy pies.

April

Spring is starting! April means Patriots Day in Concord, Massachusetts, so why not have the pie that's not a pie—Boston Cream. And rhubarb season is just around the corner!
